Step by Step, Inch by Inch:
It is now one year since we introduced our new website. By no means leaps and bounds but slowly, we are progressing toward our goal of offering a wide variety of content that is current and locally relevant. Several individuals have taken up our "Call for Contributors". 
The Carden Nature Guide section has begun to take on a new life. After a year of relative inactivity, a new series of original material consisting of twelve articles, is taking shape. Good luck Ron and Jannet in all your undertakings as web-authors.
The Carden Fishing Guide welcomes Andre Carrier, who will become a regular contributor of a series of topical articles related to fishing in South Central Ontario.
Last fall well known local naturalists Ron Reid and Janet Grand began an undertaking to combine their passion for birding and at the same time raise funds for the purchase and protection of 300 acres of prime alvar property. This tract of land is to be named Wolf Run Alvar. Along with other properties purchased since 2003, the total acreage of protected alvar landscape in Carden will be more than 7,000 acres. Hook Sets:
In April we will introduce Hook Sets with Andre Carriere a series of articles for our new Carden Fishing Guide. Andre is a professional photographer and fishing enthusiast who has taken up our call for contributors. This series of current and topical articles will aim to provide material of interest to the weekend angler and we hope some great photos.
